Fan Club Newsletter
Happy New Year everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We meant to get the newsletter out to you a little sooner this year, but life has been crazy busy! Moore & Moore had a last minute booking on December 16th in Bowler, WI at the North Star Mohican Casino. They replaced Jeannie Seely for the Country Legends Show that included Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee! Debbie & Carrie got the call on December 15, booked flights and flew to Green Bay via Chicago that night! They knew there was a winter storm warning in place, but they made the trip anyway. I was worried they would get stranded up there, but they made it home in plenty of time for Christmas! Of course, there were a few travel delays on all counts, including bus breakdowns for both Mickey AND Johnny, but everything worked out, thank goodness! It was a great show, and despite the weather, they had a big, enthusiastic crowd!
It’s Party Time! Hope ya’ll are ready for it, and we hope we will be too! We’re trying to get our act(s) together for the 19th Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party! We have confirmed several guest artists for the show, and of course we’ll have Fan Club member awards, giveaways and goodies, along with a few other surprises. Check out the tour schedule for one of the best parties of the week during the CMA Music Festival! It’s at the Nashville Palace again, and only a $5 cover to get in for a great show and a great night of catching up with old friends and making new ones. Come join us!
Moore & Moore have been working feverishly to get their new CD finished to have it ready for release at the party. The title cut is a song called “My Present To You”. It has an Irish feel and we think you’ll like it! Other songs on the album (12 in all) were written or co-written by Debbie & Carrie— “I’m Going To Roam”, “So Far, No Good” (with T.G. Sheppard), “I Want You” (with James Carothers), “Loving Thirty” (with Billy Yates), “Follow The Star” (with Marty Haggard), “Your Lover”, Wine & Whine” (with Helen Cornelius), “Can I Borrow Tomorrow”, Sand In Our Shoes” (with Billy Yates), “Better Place In Heaven” and “Play It By Beer”. If all goes as planned, you’ll be able to purchase the new CD at the fan club party, as well as new t-shirts!
Are you ready for it? Spring is almost here! It’s time to enjoy some sunshine, daffodils and tulips. Hope everyone can break out of your hibernation this month and enjoy the earth bouncing back from it’s snowy slumber. I’m ready to cure cabin fever! Who’s with me? ;-)
Debbie & Carrie have been working hard on their new CD. They’re hoping to have it available and ready for release at the 19th Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party on June 8th at the Nashville Palace! Please mark your calendars and get ready for another fun night starting at 6pm. We’ll be making special guest artist announcements as the party gets closer. If you’re coming into town that week for the CMA Music Festival (June 9-12, 2016), stay tuned and check out the tour schedule on the website to see where Moore & Moore will be performing that week. Everything always seems to be last minute, so stay tuned for the latest updates for that week, and for road dates!
Moore & Moore have been traveling a little, but have finally found the time to start recording their new CD! It should be ready for release at the fan club party (June 8, 2016 at the Nashville Palace), or maybe even before that in the Spring, when they hope to travel back to Ireland for another tour. We’ll let you know what’s happening and when the album will be available. Looks like there will be 12 songs on the CD, all written or co-written by Debbie & Carrie, with some special guest artists! No word on the title of the album yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
Moore & Moore recently performed in Branson, MO at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater with Janie Fricke and Ronnie Milsap! They also were part of the Country Legends show at the Crystal Grand Theatre in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin last month along with Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard and Jeannie Seely!
It’s been a crazy summer! CMA Fest was a lot of fun, and the Fan Club Party was one of the best yet. What an incredible line-up! Thanks to the talented artists who took the time from their busy schedules to entertain the amazing and fun people in our fan club! Congratulations to our fan club member award winners! Fan Club Members of the Year—JIM & DIANE FURLONG; Fan Club Members of the Decade— JIM “TREES” & WANDA TRESTER; 20-Year Fan Club Member Appreciation Award—MARY COLLINS. Let’s do it again next year, what do you say? Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Nashville Palace for the 19th Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party!
Debbie & Carrie flew to Providence, Rhode Island in July with their band to perform with Nathan Osmond. In August, they traveled to Addison, New York with Marty Haggard for the Twin Rivers CB Jamboree, and recently returned from Texas after having fun in the Lone Star State with Moe Bandy and his band. Check out the schedule to see where they’ll be next, and take a little road trip! The latest updates are on the website at www.mooreandmooreonline.com or keep up with them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mooreandmoore.
Keep Calm & Party On!
It’s almost here… CMA Music Festival week! We’re trying to get everything in order so we can all relax and have some fun at the annual fan club party! It’s coming right up on Wednesday, June 10 at the Nashville Palace. As to be somewhat expected, we’ve had a few complications planning the party with so many artists in town and so many events going on. A couple of our special guests previously confirmed have had scheduling conflicts and health issues, but we still have an incredible line-up with some new guest artists confirmed including Ken Mellons, Judy Rodman & Ronnie McDowell! Of course, Moore & Moore will be there, and you just never know who else will show up to perform or just drop by to catch up with old friends. For “moore” information, check out the flyer on our tour page. I may be biased, but I think it’s one of the best shows in town that week and the camaraderie and fellowship is amazing—almost like the old Fan Fair days at the fairgrounds, but in air conditioning! ;-) You also can’t beat the price—only a $5 cover, and our members get reserved seating and other goodies. There’s also free parking! Join us, and let’s have some FUN!
Spring has sprung, or at least it’s thinking about it! I’m sure everyone is ready for it after the record-setting winter we’ve had!
Moore & Moore's latest single, “Not Tonight, I’ve Got A Heartache” (written by Carrie) went all the way up to #8 on the European Hot Disc Chart in February! M&M are busy writing songs and figuring out the best time frame to get back in the studio to record a new album.
M&M will be doing a benefit concert this month (March) for the Music City Animal Rescue, a cause near and dear to their hearts. The concert will take place on the 14th in Franklin, TN with David Frizzell, Highway 101 and Anita Stapleton. Check out the schedule for the details. Not only will there be great entertainment, but also a BBQ dinner, silent auction, a photo booth, commemorative CD and more! Moore & Moore will also perform at the Nashville Palace on the 18th with host, Moe Bandy and an impressive list of artists he put together to benefit songwriter, Whitey Shafer. It will be quite a show with over 20 artists contributing their time & talent to help raise funds for Whitey’s medical expenses. And, speaking of the Nashville Palace… that’s where the Moore & Moore Fan Club Party will take place again this year. Save the date—it’s Wednesday, June 10th! We’re still putting the artist schedule together, so stay tuned! It’s going to be a fun night and again, only a $5.00 cover!
There’s a new movie out on DVD called “A Belle For Christmas” that Debbie & Carrie filmed last year with Helen Cornelius & Deborah Allen. The movie stars Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson, Jet Jurgensmeyer & Haylie Duff and it’s available at Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, etc. Check it out and catch a glimpse of Debbie & Carrie in action in their first movie!
Debbie & Carrie just got back from Ireland. This is starting to become a tradition! They performed three shows in Wexford, Athboy and Letterkenny, along with Grand Ole Opry star, Jeannie Seely! A fun time was had by all. They stayed a couple extra days to take in the sights in Dublin and returned home right before Thanksgiving. To see some of their latest adventures in photos, check out their Facebook page via the website. It’s a great way to stay in touch. ;-)
Even though the temps are still in the eighties in Tennessee, Autumn is at our back door. A few leaves are falling here & there with just a hint of what’s to come. Fall is actually my favorite time of year… less bugs, tolerable temps and Oktoberfests! Hopefully, we can all get out and enjoy the beautiful colors of Fall.
Did everyone have fun at the CMA Music Festival in June? We did! Just know that you’re not alone, and we can pull through it with each other’s love and encouragement. Our prayers are also with our troops fighting overseas and our friends/fan club members affected by Hurricane Sandy. Let’s all keep the faith and help each other.

Hello Lads & Lassies! We’re getting ready for our tour to Scotland & England with work visas and passports in hand! We will be touring with Johnny Rodriguez and Jerry Kilgore throughout our mini UK tour, and will also perform with Moe Bandy and Joey & Rory in Scotland at the Northern Nashville Caithness Country Music Festival. We will be in the Northern Highlands on Easter weekend. It will probably be a wee bit “Baltic” (as the Scottish might say), but we know the people will be warm! We’re looking forward to it. We also plan to sightsee for a couple days in London. Can’t wait!
Our new CD is almost complete! We have been working feverishly to have it ready before we leave the country. If you’re traveling to Nashville in June, you can pick one up at our fan club party! It will also be available for purchase/download at CDBaby.com, I-Tunes, Spotify, Napster, Amazon, etc., so look for it! The title track is “Show Me Your Country” and contains 10 original songs. We were thrilled to have Deborah Allen join us in the studio on the song “Not Tonight, I’ve Got A Heartache”! It’s a swinging little song with lots of harmonies (written by Carrie) that we think you’ll love!
