Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2019

We're Movin' On

Yes, in many ways, Moore & Moore is moving on.  To our fan club members, we just sent out the very last “paper” newsletter that will hit your physical mailbox soon (our 125th newsletter!).  We now have a new P.O. Box address (the one in Kingston Springs, TN will be closing soon).  The new address is:  P.O. Box 170,   Chapmansboro, TN  37035  We’ll continue to keep in touch via the website, and through social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).  We’ll also send out occasional emails and post a newsletter every now and then on the website to keep you in the loop.  If we don’t have your email already, just join the fan club list at and we’ll be sure to keep in touch with you!

Debbie will soon be “movin’ on” and living right next door to Carrie, so watch out world!  The twins will have even more time together to write, work on the next album, podcast, or whatever else may be on the horizon.  We see “moore happy hours” in our future.  ;-) ;-)

Meanwhile, it’s PARTY TIME, and, we have an amazing line-up of traditional country artists with chart-topping hits who will be performing at the 22nd Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party on June 4 at the Nashville Nightlife!  This year is also the 20th Anniversary of when “Wish You Were Here” went to #1 on the Billboard charts!  Can you believe it?  So, we have MARK WILLS, who recorded the song, that was also the title of his platinum album, and BILL ANDERSON, who co-wrote the song with Debbie and Skip Ewing.  You might hear that song a time or two that night!  We also have MOE BANDY and JOE STAMPLEY (aka MOE & JOE) joining us!  They are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their “Just Good Ol’ Boys album” which became one of the most popular albums of the year in 1979, spawning the number one title track and the Top Ten “Holding the Bag”.

If that wasn’t enough country testosterone for you, we also have JAMES CAROTHERS, WADE HAYES, MEL TILLIS, JR. and T.G. SHEPPARD!  Rounding out the wild women on the show (with the twins) will be “Miss Country Soul” herself, JEANNIE SEELY!  Is that going to be fun, or what?  Tickets are $20 Reserved and $10 General Admission.  Reserved is going very fast and may already be gone, but you can get your tickets on  Just search for the 22nd Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party!  If it’s not sold out, we’ll have $10 General Admission at the door.  Hope you can join us!

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2018

Merry Christmas!

Yes, it’s that time of year again.  Can’t believe how fast the years seem to roll around anymore.  This Christmas will be the second year without our sweet “Mama Moore”.  She was such an amazing, shining light in our lives.  Anyone who has lost a loved one knows the pain that the holidays can bring.  We do feel her spirit and somehow know she’s with us, and that does help.  We are very happy that we will be spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve this year with our sister, Dee, who will be here in Nashville (from Arizona).  We always have fun together!

Because of the loss of our mother last year, the fan club has not been the same.  She was our president and biggest fan!  With that being said, changes are coming to the club...

The Moore & Moore Fan Club has been active for over 30 years!  The club received a GOLD STAR rating continuously (26 years) from the International Fan Club Organization (IFCO).  A Gold Star rating means the club issued 100% or more of the materials promised to our members.  We have had a great run!

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2018

It’s almost summertime, so it’s time to party!  The 21st Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party will take place on Tuesday, June 5 at the Nashville Nightlife Theater, 6-10pm.  It’s a different day and venue this year, but we think it will work out great!  A full buffet and fully stocked bar will be  available, and there’s also free parking!  Admission is only $10 and tickets are available on, or just go to our website or Facebook page to click on the direct link.  All tickets are general admission, but we will have reserved  seating for our fan club members.  Also, if you order your tickets online, your name will be in the drawing for Country Music gift basket giveaways the night of the party!  Our special guests are once again, AMAZING!  What wonderful friends we have to donate their time and talent to celebrate with our fans!  Our special guests include, MOE BANDY, JEANNIE SEELY, WADE HAYES, LINDA DAVIS, DION PRIDE, BARBARA FAIRCHILD, SWEET NOTHIN’S (THE MCCARTER TWINS), JENNY TOLMAN, DAVE ROWLAND (DAVE & SUGAR), JAMES CAROTHERS, TIM ATWOOD and LEXI LARSEN with hosting duties by SCOTT & HEINO (Scott  Southworth and Heino Moeller) from WSM’s The Music Row Show!  The party is sponsored by SPRINGER MOUNTAIN FARMS and DURANGO.  In case you haven’t heard, Moore & Moore are 2018 Durango Boot Ambassadors!  That means there may be a free pair of boots up for grabs at the party, along with some other surprises!  Don’t miss out!  Join us on June 5 at the Nashville Nightlife to kick off CMA Fest week!  Stay tuned to our website and/or social media pages for any other pop-up shows/appearances during CMA Fest week  (June 7-10, 2018 in Nashville).  That’s the best way to keep in touch, and find out what the twins are up to!  :-) :-)

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2017

Blue Christmas

Christmas will not be the same without our sweet “Mama Moore”.  She left this world for her heavenly home on May 8, 2017.  Although we know she’s safe in the arms of Jesus, the holidays will be lonely.

We’re at a crossroads about the future of the fan club and the annual fan club party.  If we do have another party during CMA Fest week, we may have to change venues.  We’re still weighing our options.  As far as the fan club goes, we could possibly continue by having an online fan club with updates on our website and social media pages, but we have honestly lost the desire to continue “business as usual”  since the death of our dear mother and fan club president.  She was also our biggest fan!

Right after mom’s graveside service in Missouri, we hit the road with shows in Colorado and Texas and tried to stay busy.  The 20th Annual Fan Club Party in June was wonderful, and we thank you, our friends and fan club members, for being there for us.  We also want to thank our special guests— James Carothers, Barbara Fairchild, David Frizzell, Dave  Rowland (Dave & Sugar), Jeannie Seely, T.G. Sheppard, Johnny Rodriguez, Joe Hott, Julie Keech Harris, Aubry Rodriguez and Dianne Sherrill  - for their time, talent, love, support and friendship. The shows we’ve had on the road this year have also been a great reprieve from the stress and sorrow.

We ask you to bear with us as we make this transition in our lives.  We will keep you posted and let you know about future shows and happenings.  We’ll still be singing! :-) Please check out our current itinerary and come see us!  Any last minute changes and/or new bookings will be added to our tour schedule on our website on a regular basis.

We do have some fun shows coming up!  We’ll be braving the weather once again and heading to Wisconsin this month with Janie Fricke to perform at the St. Croix Casino in Danbury.  If you recall, we traveled in a snow storm last December with Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee to the “Dairy State”.  Guess we’re gluttons for punishment, or maybe we’re just “dreaming of a white Christmas”?  Hope to see some fans and friends there to keep us warm & toasty! ;-)

What are you doing New Year’s Eve?  We’ll be at the Welk Theatre in Branson, MO  ringing (and  singing) in 2018 with our friends, Bill Anderson, Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, Jeannie Seely and T.G. Sheppard!  That’s going to be a heckuva show!  Come join us!  Go to, or check out our tour schedule for more information.

We’re working on new shows for 2018 and it looks like we’ll be spending quite a bit of time in Texas next year.  We’ll also be going back to Branson in October 2018 for a morning show with Janie Fricke and Jeannie Seely.  We’ll ALL need lots of coffee for that one!

It’s been a good year considering our great loss.  We filmed a new video in Panama City Beach for our song, “Sand In Our Shoes”, with Billy Yates (written by Billy & Debbie).  If you haven’t seen it, it’s on our website, YouTube and social media pages, or just Google it. ;-)  The song went all the way to #2 on the UK HotDisc chart!  We have worked shows on the road with Moe Bandy, Lacy J. Dalton, Narvel Felts, Janie Fricke, David Frizzell. Kelly Lang, T.G. Sheppard, Shenandoah and more.  We were also honored to perform on the Grand Ole Opry again with Janie Fricke!  We celebrated Jeannie Seely's 50th Anniversary on the Opry and on the Midnite Jamboree.  She recently received the Honors Award from the Nashville Association of Talent Directors, and we were right there to celebrate with our amazing friend, aka "Miss Country Soul"!

And... to put the cherry on top and close out 2017, we just received some GREAT news!  Moore & Moore has been selected as a 2018 Durango Boots Ambassador!  Is that awesome or what?  We love our Durango Boots!  They're so comfortable, and we can't wait to rock them on stage with "an attitude".  ;-)  We're excited!

Thanks to our friends and loved ones have helped us through this tough year.  We feel for anyone who has lost a friend or family member this past year, including Mel Tillis’ family and Reggie Mac’s family.  Life will never be the same, and the holidays will hurt, but we’ll all make it through.  We just have to know that God has a plan for all of us, and we will see our loved ones again someday.

We love you all, and we appreciate your prayers.  Our prayers are also with you!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and much love from “the Durango twins”.  :-) :-)

Debbie & Carrie

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2017

It is with the heaviest of hearts this brief newsletter comes to you. Only a few weeks ago Carrie and Debbie suddenly lost their mother, family Matriarch, Fan club President and friend, to name a few.  Vivian or 'Mama Moore' as several so lovingly referred her as, treated everyone with respect and had such a love for life and each of you.  Some of her favorite times were spent with her precious family and traveling with Carrie and Debbie, nationally and internationally, taking in each performance and meeting the fans along the way.

Vivian felt blessed by the love of the fans and looked forward to every 'Fan Club Party' to spend time with all  making a point to get to know them.  One of her favorite songs as told by her children is "Let There Be Peace on Earth", the closing lyric within the song says, 'To take each moment and live each moment in peace eternally. Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.'

She did that, her warm, welcoming and witty personality along with her forgiving heart relayed the peace that truly began with her.  May peace be in your hearts today and   always as we remember our dearly loved 'Mama Moore' & 'Saint Vivian'.  We hope to see you at the 20th Annual Fan Club Party and share memories with you.

To view Vivian's memorial you may visit,

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2016

Happy New Year everyone!  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We meant to get the newsletter out to you a little sooner this year, but life has been crazy busy!  Moore & Moore had a last minute booking on December 16th in Bowler, WI at the North Star Mohican Casino.  They replaced Jeannie Seely for the Country Legends Show that included Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee!  Debbie & Carrie got the call on December 15, booked flights and flew to Green Bay via Chicago that night!  They knew there was a winter storm warning in place, but they made the trip anyway.  I was worried they would get stranded up there, but they made it home in plenty of time for Christmas!  Of course, there were a few travel delays on all counts, including bus breakdowns for both Mickey AND Johnny, but everything worked out, thank goodness!  It was a great show, and despite the weather, they had a big, enthusiastic crowd!

Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2016

Sheppard), “I Want You” (with James Carothers), “Loving Thirty” (with Billy Yates), “Follow The Star” (with Marty Haggard), “Your Lover”, Wine & Whine” (with Helen Cornelius), “Can I Borrow Tomorrow”, Sand In Our Shoes” (with Billy Yates), “Better Place In Heaven” and “Play It By Beer”.  If all goes as planned, you’ll be able to purchase the new CD at the fan club party, as well as new t-shirts!

Moore & Moore have been traveling a little, but have finally found the time to start recording their new CD!   It should be ready for release at the fan club party (June 8, 2016 at the Nashville Palace), or maybe even before that in the Spring, when they hope to travel back to Ireland for another tour.  We’ll let you know what’s happening and when the album will be available.  Looks like there will be 12 songs on the CD, all written or  co-written by Debbie & Carrie, with some special guest artists!  No word on the title of the album yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Moore & Moore recently performed in Branson, MO at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater with Janie Fricke and Ronnie Milsap!  They also were part of the Country Legends show at the Crystal Grand Theatre in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin last month along with Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, T.G. Keep Calm & Party On!

It’s almost here… CMA Music Festival week!  We’re trying to get everything in order so we can all relax and have some fun at the annual fan club party!  It’s coming right up on Wednesday, June 10 at the Nashville Palace.  As to be somewhat expected, we’ve had a few complications planning the party with so many artists in town and so many events going on.  A couple of our special guests previously confirmed have had scheduling conflicts and health issues, but we still have an incredible line-up with some new guest artists confirmed including Ken Mellons, Judy Rodman & Ronnie McDowell!  Of course, Moore & Moore will be there, and you just never know who else will show up to perform or just drop by to catch up with old friends.  For “moore” information, check out the flyer on our tour page.  I may be biased, but I think it’s one of the best shows in town that week and the camaraderie and fellowship is amazing—almost like the old Fan Fair days at the fairgrounds, but in air conditioning!  ;-)  You also can’t beat the price—only a $5 cover, and our members get reserved seating and other goodies.  There’s also free parking!  Join us, and let’s have some FUN!

A Note from Debbie & Carrie:

Hello Lads & Lassies!  We’re getting ready for our tour to Scotland & England with work visas and passports in hand!  We will be touring with Johnny Rodriguez and Jerry Kilgore throughout our mini UK tour, and will also perform with Moe Bandy and Joey & Rory in Scotland at the Northern Nashville Caithness Country Music Festival.  We will be in the Northern Highlands on Easter weekend.  It will probably be a wee bit “Baltic” (as the Scottish might say), but we know the people will be warm!  We’re looking forward to it.  We also plan to sightsee for a couple days in London.  Can’t wait!

Our new CD is almost complete!  We have been working feverishly to have it ready before we leave the country.  If you’re traveling to Nashville in June, you can pick one up at our fan club party!  It will also be available for purchase/download at, I-Tunes, Spotify, Napster, Amazon, etc., so look for it!  The title track is “Show Me Your Country” and contains 10 original songs.  We were thrilled to have Deborah Allen join us in the studio on the song “Not Tonight, I’ve Got A Heartache”!  It’s a swinging little song with lots of harmonies (written by Carrie) that we think you’ll love!
