Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2013

It’s almost June, so it’s almost PARTY TIME!  The 16th Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party will be happening at the Nashville Palace on Thursday, June 6 at 6:00 pm.  Our special guests will be T. GRAHAM BROWN, GEORGETTE JONES, KELLY LANG, KATE MURPHY, RANDI PERKINS, T.G. SHEPPARD, JENNY TOLMAN, BILLY YATES and more surprises!  Also, on the same night, same place, but on the stage in the front bar, the Nashville Traditions Showcase will be in full swing with Buddy Jewell, David Ball, Clinton Gregory, Becky Hobbs, Gerald Smith, Rob Skaggs, Josh Helms, Troy Cook, Jr., Luther Lewis & Wayd Battle.  If you’re looking to take lots of photos and get plenty of autographs, the Nashville Palace is the place to be on Thursday night during CMA Festival week.  Our Artist Meet & Greet will start at 6:30, so please make plans to join us.  It’s going to be a fun night at the Palace!

If you’re in downtown Nashville on Wednesday, June 5th, catch Moore & Moore at Layla’s Bluegrass Inn on Broadway with the house band and friend/artist, Bobby Marquez. Bobby’s showcase starts at 1:30 and Debbie & Carrie will go on at 3:00 p.m.  It’s only for a few songs, so don’t miss it!  If nothing else, come have a cold one as we kick off the crazy week!

We’re excited about Moore & Moore’s new single with Philomena Begley, “Country Girls Never Get Old”.  It was Airplay Direct’s #1 Country song for the month of March and is currently playing on radio stations all over Ireland!  It also hit #19 on the ITunes New Country chart and is #2 on the CDBaby Top Indie Country chart.  Moore & Moore’s latest album, “Show Me Your Country” is  Airplay Direct’s #1 Country album for the month of March and continues to stay in the Top 10 with airplay in over 15 countries and 4 continents!   We hope you were able to catch the interview with Philomena, Debbie &  Carrie on “The  Music Row Show” on WSM on April 21.  If you missed it, just go to and click on “Podcast” to listen!

The Tribute Concert for Philomena at the Nashville Nightlife Theater was a great success—I really enjoyed it!  The BBC filmed the event and it will be airing in the UK sometime in the near future.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again during “Fan Fair”, and especially at the fan club party.  Should be a good one!  Our next newsletter will be out in September.  Until then, Happy Father’s Day, Happy 4th of July and Happy Summer! - Vivian Moore, President

Hope you’re all doing well.  We know that life goes on and the world keeps turning, but it’s rough to lose friends.  We lost our sweet friend, the “Jolly Greene Giant”, Jack Greene on March 14.  We had the honor and privilege to sing with Jack on several occasions over the years, and he was a joy to work with.  He was a true gentleman and always had time for his fans & friends.  As most of you will remember, he sang at our fan club party a couple years back.  We’re very thankful for that memory and for so many others.  We were honored to join Jeannie Seely at the Midnite Jamboree on March 16 for a tribute to Jack, and then again at his memorial at the Ryman on March 27 along with Gene Watson, Mandy Barnett, Lorrie Morgan, the Whites and many more of  his friends.  Hope we made Jack proud.  We will miss him.

We performed in Kennewick, WA in April for the Columbia River Cowboy Gathering with T. Graham Brown and Helen Cornelius.  The band, Brewer’s Grade backed us up and did a great job.  The people there are friendly and so accommodating.  We were also able to connect with friends who arranged a VIP tour at the Terra Blanca winery in  Benton City, WA.  We had the most amazing time.  Thanks to Brad & Tracy Hasty and Budd & Judy Massengale for a fabulous weekend!  To see photos, please visit our Moore & Moore Facebook page.  (Our next road trip is coming right up in Green Bay, Wisconsin!)

We are so looking forward to seeing everyone at our fan club party on June 6!  We think it may be one of the biggest yet!  Of course, our fan club members will have reserved seating/tables right in front of the stage, along with other “perks” including Moore’s Marinade.  Show your member card and we’ll make sure you get a free download of our new single, “Country Girls Never Get Old” - or just buy our latest CD, “Show Me Your Country” for a free download card.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Moore, Oklahoma, and also with the family of George Jones.  Loss and change is not easy.  We have to keep the faith and know that another road will rise up to meet us, to make our dark days bright again.  Cherish the time we have on earth and enjoy this gift called life, because it truly is a gift from God.  Looking forward to seeing you all soon...  Debbie & Carrie
