Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2012

Happy Holidays! (from Vivian Moore, Fan Club President)

Merry Christmas and Happy 2013!  Here’s hoping you can all be with the ones you love to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful holiday season.  Looks like I’ll have “another tender Tennessee Christmas” this year.   ;-)

Debbie & Carrie are doing great and working hard.  They are looking forward to a little down time during the holidays so they can re-charge for the New Year!  There’s an Ireland tour in the works for the Spring of 2013, as well as an upcoming single release in the UK with a well-known country performer in the Emerald Isles!  The new song, written by Debbie & Carrie, is called “Country Girls Never Get Old”.  We’ll give you all the details as the project nears completion!

Moore & Moore have been busy with radio interviews and shows, including guesting on WSM’s All-Nighter with Marcia Campbell.  WSM, is of course, the home of the Grand Ole Opry, and speaking of that, Moore & Moore were honored to be asked to sing with Janie Fricke on the Opry on October 20th, after an afternoon show at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon, TN with Janie & Little Jimmy Dickens.  It was a day and night to remember!

The new video for the song, “Show Me Your Country” is almost done!  It’s being edited as we speak.  We’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready to hit the airwaves!  It’s the title track of Moore & Moore’s latest CD (released in June of this year).  Another album is also in the works for 2013 with  favorite songs from past albums, along with a couple brand new songs.  The new album will most likely be called “The Best of Moore & Moore”, or perhaps another title?  If you all have any ideas, let us know.  Also, let us know your very favorite songs from past CDs that you might want Debbie & Carrie to include on this project.  We’re all ears!

We posed the question in our last newsletter about possibly reducing the frequency of our newsletters.  Right now, we send out 4 (hard copy) newsletters a year and we’re thinking about reducing it to 2.   No decisions have been made yet, so for now, we’ll keep it at 4.  Just don’t know how much longer I can keep the pace!  I’ve had a rough year with health issues, including recent pacemaker replacement surgery.  I’m hanging in there though!   When you say your prayers, think of me.  ;-)

I will be spending the holidays in Tennessee with my twins.  My other children (Diana & Doug) will be in Arizona and Florida, along with my grandkids.  It’s so hard to get everyone together when we’re all spread out across the country, but we’re always close at heart!  Our next newsletter will be out in March 2013.  Until then, Happy Holidays!

Vivian Moore, President

It’s Christmas time again!  We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  We know a lot of you are going through some tough times with health issues and/or loss of a loved one.  Just know that you’re not alone, and we can pull through it with each other’s love and encouragement.  Our prayers are also with our troops fighting overseas and our friends/fan club members affected by Hurricane Sandy.  Let’s all keep the faith and help each other.

We’ve been busy girls, per usual, but we are looking forward to kicking back and sipping on some spiked eggnog.  ;-)  Music Row pretty much shuts down for 2 weeks during the holidays, so we may be able to have some quality time to relax and enjoy ourselves.  We’ll see!

We’ve had a great time this past year performing with the Bellamy Brothers, Little Jimmy Dickens, Janie Fricke, Moe Bandy, Nathan Osmond, Carl Acuff, Jr. , Johnny Rodriguez, Jeannie Seely, Billy Yates and more!  Check out our schedule for 2013 and keep checking our website.  The itinerary is subject to change at a moment’s notice, so stay in touch!

We’ll be heading back to Ireland in the Spring and also have shows coming up in the states with T. Graham Brown, Helen Cornelius, Philomena Begley and Jeannie Seely (with more TBA).  Speaking of Jeannie, we were honored to be asked to sing with her during her 45th Grand Ole Opry Anniversary celebration on WSM’s “An Intimate Evening with Eddie Stubbs”.  Congratulations to Jeannie!

Also, a big THANK YOU to Janie Fricke for asking us to sing with her on the Grand Ole Opry!  We hope to perform with Janie again soon!

We actually snuck away to Florida with mom in November to surprise our brother (Doug) for his BIG birthday celebration.  We really did surprise him and his family, as they had no idea we were coming.  We all had a great time together and got to do a little sightseeing in the Everglades, South Beach and Key Biscayne.  We loved seeing all of the wildlife (including the Moore family). LOL  And... Happy BIG Birthday to our sister, Dee on December 16th!

We hope to see you all sometime soon.  Please take care of yourselves and keep in touch.  Hopefully, we’ll see you even after December 21st!  May God bless us everyone in the lucky year of 2013!

Debbie & Carrie
