Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2013

Merry Christmas and Happy 2014!  I’m happy because all of my kids and grandkids will be in Tennessee during Christmas week.  We’ll all be together for the first time in 3 years, so I’m looking forward to it!  My back is feeling a little better after surgery in September.  There were some complications, and I’m still not going to be able to run a marathon (or even walk a mile), but I’m doing okay considering.  Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.  I need all I can get!

Debbie & Carrie just returned from Ireland!  They spent a week there performing 3 shows and promoting their new single, “Mississippi Missing You” (from their “Show Me Your Country” CD).  They performed in Dublin, Wexford and Athboy along with Buddy Jewell and Billy Yates and the crème de la crème of Irish Country, including Roly Daniels and Matt Leavy.  Debbie & Carrie also did some radio interviews, taped a TV show and snuck in some serious sightseeing in Dublin.  Check out their Facebook page for photos!  A return trip/tour to Ireland is being planned for 2014!

Speaking of “Show Me Your Country”…  I know we mentioned in the last newsletter that the video/single would be released before the end of the year.  After discussing it with the promotion team, Moore & Moore have decided to release it in early Spring 2014, so please look for it!  We will let you know as soon as we have the official release date.  It’s been a long process, but it will be worth it!  :-)

Moore & Moore just filmed a new Christmas movie called “Jingle Belle” that will be released next year!  Debbie & Carrie, along with Deborah Allen, portrayed the friends of Helen Cornelius (aka Marnie), and Helen portrayed Jet Jurgensmeyer’s  grandmother!  The starring roles belong to Jet, Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson and Haylie Duff.  Look for it next Christmas!  And… Moore & Moore will be performing an afternoon Christmas show with Nathan Osmond and the Carl Acuff, Jr. Band in Marion, IN on Sunday, December 22nd at 4:00 p.m.  If you’re in the area, come join them and get in the spirit!

In January, Moore & Moore will embark on a 7-day cruise to perform with Moe Bandy for his 4th Classic Country Cruise to Key West, Freeport & Nassau.  The Carnival Magic will depart from Galveston, TX on Sunday, January 12, 2014.  If you’re still thinking about a nice holiday present, how about a cruise?  ;-)  If you’d like to join them, look for more info on our website, or go to Moe’s site at, or call Cook’s Travel Center at 1-877-266-5885.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season filled with friends, family and fun!  Our next newsletter will be out in March.  Merry Christmas and Happy  New Year!

A Note from Debbie & Carrie

Happy Holidays!  We hope you are all looking forward to a cozy Christmas with your loved ones.  We’ve been having fun and enjoying life as it’s been throwing us some crazy curves, but most of them are wonderful!  Since our last newsletter, we filmed a movie, played in Branson with Janie Fricke and T.G. Sheppard, and in Arkansas with the Carl Acuff, Jr. Band, taped a few TV shows, performed 4 shows at the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival (with our guitar player, Dan Justice), released a single, toured Ireland with Buddy Jewell & Billy Yates, and so many other things in between!  A lot of it came out of nowhere.  Guess we never know what God has planned for us, but we’ve been enjoying His blessings!  Life is good, and we hope life is treating you good too!

Ireland was such a blast!  We enjoyed performing and meeting so many new people, and also enjoyed sightseeing in Dublin.  We visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle and the Guinness Storehouse where we earned our certificates for pouring the perfect pint, then sipped it overlooking the Dublin skyline in the Gravity Bar!   We caught the sightseeing bus in Dublin, but also walked for miles and enjoyed so many things in the city, including a walking ghost tour that ended at The Brazen Head, Ireland’s oldest pub,  dating back to 1198!  If you’ve never been to Ireland and have always wanted to go, don’t put it off.  Maybe we can all go in 2014!  ;-)

We had a wonderful time at the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival.  We played 4 shows in 4 different venues in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, AL and Pensacola. FL.  We ran into a lot of friends and fellow songwriters and had a great time singing and catching up with everyone.  We hadn’t been there in a few years, so we were happy to be back and hope to return next year!

Can’t wait to cruise and perform with Moe Bandy next month!  Come join us if you can, especially if you’re already sick of the snow.  It would be a great way to start off 2014!

Happy New Year!  Love, Debbie & Carrie
