Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2014

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  From Fan Club President, Vivian Moore

Merry Christmas!  Here’s hoping that everyone will have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  I will, once again, be enjoying another “Tender Tennessee Christmas”.  I’ll get to see my grandkids that week, so of course, I’m looking forward to that.  It’s always nice to be with family and people that love you.  Hope you all feel the love this Christmas!

There’s a new movie out on DVD called “A Belle For Christmas” that Debbie & Carrie filmed last year with Helen Cornelius & Deborah Allen.  The movie stars Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson, Jet Jurgensmeyer & Haylie Duff and it’s available at Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, etc.  Check it out and catch a glimpse of Debbie & Carrie in action in their first movie!

Debbie & Carrie just got back from Ireland.  This is starting to become a tradition!  They performed three shows in Wexford, Athboy and   Letterkenny, along with Grand Ole Opry star, Jeannie Seely!  A fun time was had by all.  They stayed a couple extra days to take in the sights in Dublin and returned home right before Thanksgiving.  To see some of their latest adventures in photos, check out their Facebook page via the website.  It’s a great way to stay in touch.  ;-)

It looks like the Nathan Osmond cruise scheduled for February 2015 will be rescheduled again.  At this time, we’re not sure of the date, so we’ll let you know as soon as we can.  You can also sail the high seas with Moore & Moore in August on the Carl Acuff, Jr. cruise with special guests, Michael Twitty and Dion Pride and again in November on the Jeannie Seely Cruise with Marty Haggard, Tim Atwood and Ray Pillow traveling to the Bahamas in November 2015.  Check out the schedule and think about cruising next year!

Debbie & Carrie and their long-time friend and guitar player, Dan Justice, headed to the Gulf Coast last month to perform at the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival at several venues in Florida & Alabama.  Moore & Moore have been attending the festival for several years, and they really enjoy it.  Only 200 writers are chosen to take part and perform every year, so Moore & Moore are proud to be a part of it!

I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes in October.  I celebrated at the Tilted Kilt  in Clarksville, TN and watched the World Series game.  Wish the Royals would have won, but we still had fun.  The entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday to me and we posted photos on Facebook.  We had a great time!  Our next newsletter will be out in March 2015.  Until then, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine’s Day!  Vivian Moore, President

A NOTE FROM DEBBIE & CARRIE:

Merry Christmas!  We’ll be enjoying the holidays in Tennessee with friends & family.  We’re looking forward to time with our loved ones.  November was a crazy month!  We flew to Colorado with T.G. Sheppard, then drove to the Gulf Coast for shows at the Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, then flew to Ireland for a tour with Jeannie Seely!  All of the trips were fantastic, with Halloween parties and sightseeing in Colorado at the Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Cripple Creek and the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs  - thanks to promoter, Jimmy Moon!  We had a blast at the Songwriters Festival performing and seeing old friends, and meeting some new artist friends like “The Devious Angels”.  Look them up, cause we’re sure you’ll be hearing more from them!  We also had fun in Ireland performing with Jeannie and doing some radio interviews.  Thanks to CRC FM’s The    Country Lounge for featuring us as your “Artist of the Week”!  After the tour, we did plenty of sightseeing with stops at the Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Temple Bar, Phoenix Park, St. Michan’s Church, Merrion Square, Glasnevin Cemetery, Gravedigger’s Pub, Dublin Writer’s Museum and so much more!  And yes, we did go back to the Guinness Storehouse to earn our second Perfect Pint certificate, and Jeannie earned hers too!  We drank our "achievements” on the top floor at the Gravity Bar overlooking the city of Dublin.  Thanks to promoter, Declan Quinn for putting together a great tour, and thanks to one of the best country singers in Ireland, Matt Leavy, who not only performed every night (including a duet with Jeannie,) but he also drove us to all the gigs.  What a great guy!  On our flight back home, we got a welcome surprise by being bumped up to First Class!  We clinked our champagne glasses and toasted to another successful tour in Ireland!  Hope to do it again next year.  :-) :-)

We don’t have to travel anywhere for awhile, so we’re just going to enjoy a few Christmas parties, watch “A Belle For Christmas” ;-) and get ready for the  holidays!  We do plan to have a new album completed by the end of 2015, so we’ll keep you posted.  We’re very excited to record some of the new songs we’ve been working on, and we may bring in a few special guests to help us out.  Stay tuned!

We hope you all have a Christ filled Christmas with your loved ones all around you.  We’re happy to have gotten to know a lot of our fans over the years who have also become great friends!  We’re thinking about you, and we’re very thankful that you’re a part of our lives.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love, Debbie & Carrie
