Fan Club Newsletter
Moore & Moore Newsletter/Winter 2015
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It’s that time of year again, and it sure does seem to come around fast. Hopefully, we can all slow down a bit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Season.
Moore & Moore have been traveling a little, but have finally found the time to start recording their new CD! It should be ready for release at the fan club party (June 8, 2016 at the Nashville Palace), or maybe even before that in the Spring, when they hope to travel back to Ireland for another tour. We’ll let you know what’s happening and when the album will be available. Looks like there will be 12 songs on the CD, all written or co-written by Debbie & Carrie, with some special guest artists! No word on the title of the album yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
Moore & Moore recently performed in Branson, MO at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater with Janie Fricke and Ronnie Milsap! They also were part of the Country Legends show at the Crystal Grand Theatre in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin last month along with Moe Bandy, Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard and Jeannie Seely!
Meanwhile, I’ve been doing a little traveling myself. I flew to Florida in November to spend Thanksgiving week with my grandkids. I’m also going to fly to Texas this month to meet up with my oldest daughter, then ride back to Nashville for Christmas! I’m just glad I can still travel a little and see the family since we’re all spread out across the country and it’s hard for all of us to get together.
Our next newsletter will be out in March 2016! Just a reminder, but we will be scaling back on the frequency of the fan club newsletters. Right now, we mail out four a year, but we’ll be cutting that down to two a year (in June & December) beginning in June 2016. Most everyone can continue to keep up with the latest on social media (Facebook/Twitter). We also post the newsletters on the website at www.mooreandmooreonline.com. It’s just getting a lot harder for me to get everything done and sent out on time. I’m still alive and kicking, but I just don’t kick like I used to! ;-)
Until next time, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and an incredibly Happy New Year! God bless us everyone!
Vivian Moore, President
A Note from Debbie & Carrie:
"Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore"... It’s that time of year again where… "Faithful friends who are dear to us , gather near to us once ‘moore"! Here’s hoping we all have ourselves a “Merry Little Christmas”.
Life is good and we’re staying busy, per usual. We really enjoyed performing in Branson with Ronnie Milsap and Janie Fricke. It was Ronnie’s “Farewell Tour”, so we were glad to see him live and in person before he wraps it up next year. Of course, we always love singing with Janie. She’s one of the nicest people on the planet, and we absolutely love her music. We were happy to have breakfast the next morning with our fabulous friends, Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris. If you’re ever in Branson, be sure to go see them perform. To see them or know them is to love them. They’re amazing people. We also had a show with Janie, T.G. Sheppard, Jeannie Seely and Moe Bandy in Wisconsin in November and enjoyed spending some quality time with all of them. Also loved spending time with fans, friends and family who came to see us on the road. You all know who you are, and we had a blast! :D
We spent Halloween morning judging dog costumes for the American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life—a canine cancer event. It was so much fun, and we even got a kiss from “Timmy the Golden Retriever” at the kissing booth sponsored by Music City Animal Rescue. It’s all for the animals, and we’re always happy to take part and help out. Thanks to Vickie Harris and her crew for all they do!
We attended Irlene Mandrell’s wedding in November. She got married to one of our long-time friends, and we’ve never seen him happier. Congratulations to Irlene & Pat!
We hope everyone enjoys the holidays. We know that the world is on edge with the horrific things that have been happening in this country, and of course, in Paris and beyond. Even though we feel helpless, we can always hope and pray. Sometimes, that’s all we can do, so let’s do lots of it. As Joel Osteen says, “Keep God first place and He will take you places that you’ve never dreamed of”.
Love you all,
Debbie & Carrie
