Moore & Moore Newsletter/Summer 2019

We're Movin' On

Yes, in many ways, Moore & Moore is moving on.  To our fan club members, we just sent out the very last “paper” newsletter that will hit your physical mailbox soon (our 125th newsletter!).  We now have a new P.O. Box address (the one in Kingston Springs, TN will be closing soon).  The new address is:  P.O. Box 170,   Chapmansboro, TN  37035  We’ll continue to keep in touch via the website, and through social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).  We’ll also send out occasional emails and post a newsletter every now and then on the website to keep you in the loop.  If we don’t have your email already, just join the fan club list at and we’ll be sure to keep in touch with you!

Debbie will soon be “movin’ on” and living right next door to Carrie, so watch out world!  The twins will have even more time together to write, work on the next album, podcast, or whatever else may be on the horizon.  We see “moore happy hours” in our future.  ;-) ;-)

Meanwhile, it’s PARTY TIME, and, we have an amazing line-up of traditional country artists with chart-topping hits who will be performing at the 22nd Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party on June 4 at the Nashville Nightlife!  This year is also the 20th Anniversary of when “Wish You Were Here” went to #1 on the Billboard charts!  Can you believe it?  So, we have MARK WILLS, who recorded the song, that was also the title of his platinum album, and BILL ANDERSON, who co-wrote the song with Debbie and Skip Ewing.  You might hear that song a time or two that night!  We also have MOE BANDY and JOE STAMPLEY (aka MOE & JOE) joining us!  They are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their “Just Good Ol’ Boys album” which became one of the most popular albums of the year in 1979, spawning the number one title track and the Top Ten “Holding the Bag”.

If that wasn’t enough country testosterone for you, we also have JAMES CAROTHERS, WADE HAYES, MEL TILLIS, JR. and T.G. SHEPPARD!  Rounding out the wild women on the show (with the twins) will be “Miss Country Soul” herself, JEANNIE SEELY!  Is that going to be fun, or what?  Tickets are $20 Reserved and $10 General Admission.  Reserved is going very fast and may already be gone, but you can get your tickets on  Just search for the 22nd Annual Moore & Moore Fan Club Party!  If it’s not sold out, we’ll have $10 General Admission at the door.  Hope you can join us!

We were blessed once again this year to go on the 2019 Country Music Cruise (January 27- Feb. 3)  We performed with Jeannie Seely and Tim Atwood on some of their shows, and also joined Seely for the “Opry At Sea” show on the big stage.  We just had fun in general, singing, hanging out with old and new friends and visiting ports of call.  We were even invited to Coach Barry Switzer’s private cabana on the beach at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.  What a beautiful place that is!  If you’ve never been on the cruise, believe it or not, they’re almost sold out for 2020!  The website is  It really is a blast!

We just got back from Truth or Consequences, NM after playing a show with Janie Fricke on May 4th at the Civic Center with KCHS Radio.  We also rode in the parade the morning of the show!  We had the best time there with wonderful people and incredible hospitality!  After that, and since we were already out that way, we made the trip to Oro Valley, AZ to surprise our sister, Dee at her Cinco de Mayo party!  She had no idea that we were coming, so we got her good!  We were able to spend a couple days with her and catch up, as we hadn’t seen each other since Christmas.  Dee will be coming to Tennessee sometime soon to help Debbie move, so we’re glad it won’t be too long before we see her again.

We just hosted the Midnite Jamboree on WSM on Saturday, May 11 in Nashville.  Our special guest was James Carothers, who will also be a guest at the fan club party!  If you were unable to come to the show or tune in on the radio, the show is archived at:  As you probably already know, we love James dearly, and he’s been going places!  He’s been touring with Alan Jackson, and he will also be making his Grand Ole Opry debut this year!

We have shows coming up in Texas, Virginia, Montana and Illinois, so we hope you’ll come see us if you can.  Keep watching our schedule, cause you never know where we might be!  ;-)

Again, we want to thank our incredible fans for being a member of the “paper” fan club, some for the entire 31 years!  But, we’re not going anywhere!  We’ll still be writing, recording, singing and having fun somewhere in a town near you!

We love y’all!  Let’s party!

Debbie & Carrie
